By using our Website, you agree to fully comply with and be bound by our Legal Terms. Please review them carefully. If you do not accept our Legal Terms, do not access and use our Website. If you have already accessed our Website and do not accept our Legal Terms, you should immediately discontinue use of our Website.

We may amend our Legal Terms at any time without specific notice to you. The terms “us” or “we” or “our” refers to Disoka, Inc, the owner of the Website.

A “Visitor” is someone who merely browses our Website, but has not registered as Member.

A “Member” is an individual that has registered with us to attend the workshop(s).

Our “Service” represents the collective functionality and features as offered through our Website to our Members.

A “User” is a collective identifier that refers to either a Visitor or a Member.

All text, information, graphics, audio, video, and data offered through our Website are collectively known as our “Content”.

You agree to comply with all applicable domestic and international laws, statutes, ordinances, and regulations regarding your use of our Website. Disoka, Inc reserves the right to investigate complaints or reported violations of our Legal Terms and to take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to canceling your Member account, reporting any suspected unlawful activity to law enforcement officials, regulators, or other third parties and disclosing any information necessary or appropriate to such persons or entities relating to your profile, email addresses, usage history, posted materials, IP addresses and traffic information, as allowed under our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

Our Website may contain our service marks or trademarks as well as those of our affiliates or other companies, in the form of words, graphics, and logos. Your use of our Website does not constitute any right or license for you to use such service marks/trademarks, without the prior written permission of the corresponding service mark/trademark owner. Our Website is also protected under international copyright laws. The copying, redistribution, use or publication by you of any portion of our Website is strictly prohibited. Your use of our Website does not grant you ownership rights of any kind in our Website.

Permission to Use Materials

All content or other materials available on the Website, including but not limited to code, images, text, layouts, arrangements, displays, illustrations, audio and video clips, HTML files and other content are the property of Disoka and are protected by copyright, patent and/or other proprietary intellectual property rights under the United States and foreign laws. In consideration for your agreement to the terms and conditions contained here, Disoka grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Sites. Members may download material from the Website only for their own personal, educational non-commercial use. Members may not otherwise copy, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise transfer any material, nor may modify or create derivatives works of the material. The burden of determining that your use of any information, software or any other content on the Site is permissible rests with you.

Electronic Devices

We do require students to bring their own laptops to the CodeWorkshops. Other than the personal laptop participants may bring their own electronic devices such as smart phones and iPod to stay in communication with their parents/caregivers. CodeWorkshops is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen equipment and the participant shall assume all risk in bringing their personal laptop and any other electronic devices. Personal electronic devices such as smart phones and iPod may not be used during instructional times unless approved by the instructor upon student’s request. Participants access the internet via local CodeWorkshops provided Wi-Fi which is further granted as a service by the Shrewsbury School department for the purpose of the CodeWorkshops. The internet access shall be limited only to the CodeWorkshops related activity as advised by the instructors and shall not be used to view and access “inappropriate” content such as sexual content, violence, racism, bullying, anti-governmental activity etc. Any participants that are identified as viewing and accessing inappropriate content will be immediately dismissed from the workshop without a refund. Students may not involve in any computer hacking to tamper or violate the security policy of the Wi-Fi network and break into other participants or CodeWorkshops accounts. Any attempts at computer hacking will result in immediate dismissal from the workshops without a refund and if warranted local authorities may be contacted.

Our Website may contain links to third party websites. These links are provided solely as a convenience to you. By linking to these websites, we do not create or have an affiliation with, or sponsor such third party websites. The inclusion of links within our Website does not constitute any endorsement, guarantee, warranty, or recommendation of such third party websites. Disoka, Inc has no control over the legal documents and privacy practices of third party websites; as such, you access any such third party websites at your own risk.

Social Media

CodeWorkshops does not enforce any restrictions on the use of social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc. but would advise the participants to limit their activity only during the non-instructional hours of the workshop. Participants must follow the terms of use of the said social site, including following the specified age policies. Participants in their daily/weekend project shall not include any links to websites that contain personal information or inappropriate material of their own or other students/participants. Any projects or websites created by participants and hosted on CodeWorkshops servers may not contain links to websites containing personal information or inappropriate material. CodeWorkshops does not allow the use of its company logo on any personal website, social networking group, or blog without written permission by CodeWorkshops. Participants should be aware that under no circumstances is staff allowed to give personal contact information for social networking sites, personal websites, blogs, or instant messenger programs. Participants may not share any personal contact information about other participants via the CodeWorkshops alumni site or discussion forum.

Workshop Projects and Participant Work

You understand that all projects and work created while at CodeWorkshops may be used by Website in workshop promotional materials and other print and online media for workshop purposes. These projects may be shared and used by corporate partners, the media, or other organizations who work with CodeWorkshops. You understand that software and project development workshops require creation or use of an online account on CodeWorkshops as well as creation of accounts and access of tools and software on other online services. Parental/Guardian consent may be required and to create and use of some of these third party online services.

Payments and Cancellation

Disoka collects payments for workshop seat reservation deposits and balance payments using an online service Stripe.com to process payments. We do not store any of customer’s credit card information or details, other than the name and the contact information such as email address, and the postal address. Please see our Privacy policy on how we protect your privacy and use the information that we collect through registration.

Our cancellation policy applies for all cancellations including those due to illness but with some exceptions. We understand that a student becoming ill may not be anticipated and for that reason we will work with the parent to move the student to a different workshop week if there is one offered by the CodeWorkshops. There is no fee for transferring a student to a different workshop week provided that there is a workshop at a future week and there is space for the student in the workshop for that week.

General Terms

Our Legal Terms shall be treated as though it were executed and performed in Massachusetts, USA, and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. In addition, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts. Any cause of action by you with respect to our Website, must be instituted within one (1) year after the cause of action arose or be forever waived and barred. Should any part of our Legal Terms be held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed consistent with applicable law and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. To the extent that any Content in our Website conflicts or is inconsistent with our Legal Terms, our Legal Terms shall take precedence. Our failure to enforce any provision of our Legal Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such provision nor of the right to enforce such provision. The rights of Disoka, Inc under our Legal Terms shall survive the termination of our Legal Terms.
